What would it look like if our resolutions focused less on our weight or organisational skills and more on how we treat others?

Rather than losing weight and getting fit, let's resolve to be a better friend, spouse, parent or co-worker.

On the seventh day of gratitude, I’m grateful for the good relationships I have with many friends’ kids. I get to be someone fun in their lives who cares about them but I still get to sleep in in the mornings 🙂

And happy new year, everyone!

On the sixth day of gratitude, I am grateful for the amazing food we have in this part of the world. Currently can’t get enough of cherries from down the road.

On the fifth day of gratitude, I’m grateful for time spent reconnecting with my dear brother over the past week. #12daysofgratitude

Thursday, December 28th, 2017

D'oh I already got mixed up. If I want my 12 days of gratitude to finish on Twelfth Night I should have started on actual Christmas Day. You can tell I know my traditional calendar well, can't you? 🙂

Well that's an excuse to catch up.

So on the second day of gratitude, I was grateful for a hilarious drive from Launceston to Hobart with my mum and brother, singing our favourite songs from the past few decades. Grateful that we get along so well - I know this is not something to take for granted!

On the third day of gratitude, I was grateful for the breathtaking beauty at the top of kunanyi/Mount Wellington in Hobart, the clear air and the brightness.

On the fourth day of gratitude, I am grateful for a lazy sleep-in in my own bed (with the crisp new sheets I got for Christmas), and the comforts of home.

How about you? What have you been grateful for these last couple of days?

Well I’ve asked you all throughout December what you’re grateful for - now I’m going to do the #12daysofgratitude suggested by dear friend and everyday gratituder Meredith. Join in in the comments if you’d like!

On the first day of gratitude I’m grateful for how brilliantly the kids I’ve been working with at church performed Born is the King on Christmas Eve and how happy they seemed to have been given the chance to be in the play. And that the message was clear in amongst the fun!
